Educational Trust Fund
The Educational Trust Fund is a benefit available to all Unifor Local 899 members. Grants received from the fund may be used to cover the cost of tuition/fees forPost-secondary courses not related to your work within the company.
Employees can access the application forms on-line. Go to http://ctvabweb/alberta/default.asp choose either CTV Calgary or CTV Edmonton, click on FORMS, and choose “Education Application”. Alternatively, email Linda Xavier for an application. Or click "HERE"
Deliver or fax your completed application to a committee member. An application must also include a detailed outline of the course information. All eligible employees should be reminded of the Trust Funds policy regarding sports and Personal Fitness related courses and activities. Effective October 2002, the Trust Fund no longer accepts or approves courses of a Sport or Personal fitness nature, this would include; personal trainers, dance classes, sporting activities, exercise or yoga classes.
Effective January 1, 2013, for approved courses that begin on or after January 1, 2013, employees are eligible for the following maximum annual grants:
$1,500.00 per Fulltime Member
$750.00 per Part-time member
These eligibility amounts are reviewed bi-annually, and are subject to change at the discretion of the Committee. Any change will be communicated to Union Staff.
